DICER1 and the Pleuropulmonary Blastoma Family Cancer Syndrome
The proposed studies will determine the role DICER1 mutation plays in a large, unselected PPB population. For patients lacking DICER1 mutations, candidate genes will be tested for mutation. The penetrance and expressivity of DICER1 mutations will be determined. The mechanism of tumorigenesis will be explored using IHC and expression profiling methods.
